 I believe in the universal power of the arts to create transformation within the individual, community, and the world. My work is devoted to facilitating that process. Through the fusion of movement, words, sound, and visuals I intend to envelop my audience in this process making them apart of its unfolding as if it were their own journey. I like to think of it as soul-centered artistry because it is very much rooted in a connection to past, present, and future. Together we travel across ethereal worlds, worship, and testimonial intermingling through circular breath beats merging myth with reality. My work has always been about women. Those that I have known on my path and those who I meet in my dreams and visions. I want my audiences to step into the shoes of these women and feel what their feet feel like as they walk into a spirited (re)birth. -P.A |
